Just across the Ben Franklin Bridge, Center City Restaurant Week is going on right now. It began last night and runs from January 19-24 & 26-31, 2014. Over 100 participating restaurants are offering 3 course dinners for $35 a person and 3 course lunches for $20 a person (beverages, taxes and gratuity are not included). You need to do your homework during restaurant week to make sure that the meal is really a value. Check out the menus online first. Uwishunu has a roundup of some of the restaurants where you’ll get the most bang for your buck, where meals would normally run you $50 and above a person.
On this side of the bridge, Haddon Heights is holding its own version of restaurant week which it calls “Taste of the Town.” From January 21-24, Anthony’s , Element’s, and Kunkle’s Steak and Seafood are running specials – $25 for dinners and $10 for lunches. Best of all, all of the restaurants are BYO, making it a really great deal.
Whether you’re dining in Philly or in Haddon Heights, make sure you secure reservations. Most restaurants book up during these special dining days.
